The aim of the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course is to train PPL licence holders to a commercial standard, allowing the holder to be remunerated for flying. The course is 25 hours, however, if you are a holder of an Instrument Rating (IR) then the course can be reduced by 10 hours.
There is a minimum requirement of five hours within the course that needs to be conducted on a complex aircraft (variable pitch propeller and retractable undercarriage). The skills test also has to be conducted on a complex aircraft.
